99 Words on Being Snubbed

A recent post on Money Beagle got me thinking about how many people take offense where none was intended.

Are you the type who always feels like people are putting you down, excluding you, or snubbing you?

You could be right of course, but odds are their snub was unintentional or completely imagined in your mind.  The truth is most people are so wrapped up in their own lives and dealing with their own problems that they barely even give other people a second thought.

Rude?  Yes.  Sad?  Yes.  But is the world out to get you?  Probably not.

I think it’s in our nature as humans to take things personally, even if it’s not intended. It’s hard to get passed that initial snubbed feeling and I think we’re a sensitive race. But I think you are right; if you are constantly feeling as if you are being snubbed, you are probably putting too much faith in other people!
