I’ve always been fascinated by World War II because of its epic scale. Battles raging all over the world, millions of casualties, and larger than life personalities in power. Winston Churchill was one of those larger than life leaders, so I couldn’t say no when Blogging for Books offered a free review copy of When Lions Roar: The Churchills and the Kennedys.
When Lions Roar is a dual biography of Britain’s Churchill family and America’s Kennedy family. These two families influenced their nations politics more than perhaps any other family. And I was surprised to learn how entwined the two families had been.
This is an engaging and well-written examination of two families who helped shape the world as we know it. If you’re a history buff, I recommend it.
