I’ve always been a history buff and the American Revolution is probably my favorite period to study. Jefferson’s America takes place after the war for freedom had been won the war and America looked to expand their territory and their power.
You’ve probably already heard of the Louisiana Purchase which doubled the size of the fledgling nation, but you can’t appreciate the drama, the strategy, and the intricacies that were involved until you read this book.
Jefferson’s America tells the tale of one of our finest presidents, a cadre of brave explorers (including Lewis and Clark) and the mission to explore and expand the continent. It was a fascinating read and I strongly suggest you pick up a copy for yourself.
