Wealthy Turtle recently celebrated its first birthday and we couldn’t be more excited. Traffic has been growing steadily and we’re prepared for the blog to grow by leaps and bounds over the next few years.
We’ve done our best to keep improving the quality of the content and we have lots of ideas for more articles to help you take control of your finances. While quite a few personal finance blogs have disappeared recently, we’re not going anywhere.
In fact, we’re actually expanding a bit.
We recently launched a new blog called Elude the Cube.
Elude the Cube is all about entrepreneurship, starting a small business, freelancing, and making money online. It’s for people who want to quit their 9 to 5 job so they can enjoy the freedom of working for themselves.
Why start a separate blog?
We thought a lot about whether or not we should start a new blog or just house everything under the Wealthy Turtle banner. In the end it came down to focus.
We want to publish more articles about blogging and building online income streams. While those topics could loosely be considered “personal finance” we feel that the target market is a bit different.
Most WT aren’t particularly interested in blogging, and many bloggers aren’t interested in the rest of the personal finance articles we publish.
So to better serve both markets, we’re splitting things up a bit…
Wealthy Turtle will remain a place where everyday folks can learn how to better manage their finances. Here we’ll continue to focus on basic financial concepts, investing, and the economy in general.
Elude the Cube will be all about blogging and making money online. We’ll also include case studies like the one that just began called Niche Site Duel 2.0. Here is where we’ll share the successes (and failures) as we work to develop new streams of income online.
We’re really excited by the changes, so take a minute to drop by the new site and let us know what you think!
