I’m on a mission to lose weight and my wife is a big fan of the Skinnytaste blog, so when I had an opportunity to grab a free copy of the Skinnytaste Cookbook I jumped at it.
When it came in the mail my wife practically jumped out of her shoes and dove right in looking for new dinner recipes that would be both healthy and full of flavor. We’ve already used one recipe for dinner..the Mongolian Beef and Broccoli was out of this world and just bursting with flavor!
I have a number of other recipes flagged so we can try them too, including the Kiss My (Shrimp and) Grits, Orecchiette with Sausage, Baby Kale, and Bell Pepper, and Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatballs. I can’t wait to try them!
In addition to all of the delicious recipes, there is also an introductory chapter full of tips on how to create a good-for-you kitchen and lifestyle. It’s important to remember that there’s more to living a healthy lifestyle than just eating food that is good for you.
What impressed me most about the book is the quality. This is not a poorly put-together paperback…it’s a hardcover with heavy duty pages and there are ton of pictures, One of my biggest pet peeves is cookbooks that don’t have any pictures…seeing the dishes as they look prepared is one of the biggest selling points of any cookbook!
If you’re looking to lose weight and eat more healthy meals, the Skinnytaste cookbook will make an excellent addition to your home library.
